1895, a shot echoes on the hills near Villa Grifone; it is not a legend, it is a piece of History and the final conclusion of years of experiments, studies and intuitions of Guglielmo Marconi. It is the start of a new era: the age of wireless telegraphy and radio.

On the occasion of this event three hams with a deep admiration for Marconi, for his genious and endeavour, decided to celebrate in a new and original way the centennial.We are at the end of 1994, and in Italy the Internet is spreading: the first WWW sites are being constructed.

This is the work of Andrea Borgnino IW1CXZ (today IWØHK), Angelo Brunero IK1QLD, Andrea Valori IK1QFT, which started in 1994, and was hosted until 2004 in a server of a Turin provider, and now part of the memory and storiography of the University of Turin.
